Call for Workshop Proposals
part of OnTheMove OTM Federated Conferences and Workshops 2012 (OTM'12)

We invite proposals for workshops to be held in conjunction with OTM 2012. Workshops provide a valuable opportunity for small groups to meet and engage in rich discussions of a topic of common interest.
OTM'12 provides an opportunity to stimulate and facilitate an active exchange, interaction and comparison of new approaches and methods. In fact, the main goal of the OTM 2012 workshops is to stimulate and facilitate an active exchange, interaction and comparison of new approaches and methods.
OTM'12 especially encourages proposals that are related to the OnTheMove themes, should address subjects of interest to the OTM community (such as basic research, applied research, new methodologies, emerging application areas, tools, models, and design innovations)
PROPOSAL CONTENTS:
In order to make it easier to evaluate your proposal, it would be greatly appreciated if in crafting your proposal you could include the following information:
1. A covering letter giving affiliation, phone, email and address of the proposed workshop organizing committee, specifying workshop's primary contact and a brief description of the qualifications of the individual committee members with respect to organizing scientific events.
2. A two-page description of the workshop, containing the title, contact details for the coordinators, an abstract, the goals of the workshop and an explanation of how the proposed workshop could complement the four main conferences scopes
SELECTION CRITERIA:
Workshop proposals are reviewed by the workshop chairs against the following criteria:
1. Relevance of the topic to OTM’12
2. Contribution to the field
3. Quality and feasibility of the workshop programme
4. Expertise and track record of the presenters
ORGANIZERS' RESPONSABILITIES:
Workshop organizers will be responsible for the following:
* Making a Web site for the workshop to be located in the main web site http://www.onthemove-conferences.org
* Advertising the workshop and issuing a call for articipation/papers.
* Collecting submissions, notifying acceptances in due time, and ensuring a transparent and fair selection process. All workshop organizers commit themselves to adopt the same deadlines for submissions and notifications of acceptance.
* Ensuring that the workshop organizers and the participants get registered to the workshop and are invited to register to the main conference.
* At least one PC co-chair per OTM Workshop MUST be registered and present for the whole event.
OTM'12 reserves the right to cancel any workshop if the above responsibilities are not fulfilled or if too few attendees register for the workshop.
WORKSHOPS PROCEEDINGS:
Papers accepted by the workshops are likely to be published as a joint volume of Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) by Springer.

Submission should be made by e-mail (ASCII/PS/PDF/DOC format are accepted) using "OTM Workshop Proposal Submission" as the email subject. Prospective organizers are also encouraged to discuss with the Workshops Chair prior to submitting proposals.
